This work is part of my deep-rooted interest and curiosity about sound. Sculpture space and sound share attributes and characteristics which I am trying to navigate by making an inaudible sound sculpture.
The process of making this work involves pouring iron in the hollow cavities of bamboos in an attempt to capture the negative space otherwise occupied by a breath that produces sound resonating through pneumatic instruments.
*Extensity in psychology refers to that quality of sensation which permits the perception of space or size.
